Herman Sangiwa

Herman Sangiwa has several years’ experience managing and administering system and network, he has developed a broad range of management, administrative, and platform knowledge and skills in the ICT sector. He is passionate about building and maintaining scalable networks, network infrastructure resources, and application services. Herman has good working knowledge on network protocols and security, experiencing in routing and switching with different vendors, skills in mobile technologies including GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSPA+/LTE and TVWS. Administrative knowledge on Linux and Windows based operating systems and Full Stack Developer with programming skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Laravel, Ruby and Databases. Herman has participated in the design, development, and deployment of a 4G LTE and TVWS network as the Chief Technology Officer.

Herman holds at Post Graduate Degree in Technology Management from the University of Pretoria, South Africa and Bachelor’s Degree in information communication technology from Swinburne University of Technology – Sarawak, Malaysia.

Deployed addtional POPs and designed a fiber network ring with strategic partners in Dar-es-salaam and Mtwara.

Successfully migrated Selcom's broadband Core Network from legacy system to state of the art infrastructure in a new facility

Deployed Selcom's broadband network services - DNS, DHCP, SMTP Relay switch increasing network performance and capacity.

Responsible for drafting Selcom's security policies and system compliance that are aligned to International Standards.
